Things that make me happy
May. 31st, 2006 09:54 pm1. Graduating cum laude - it was a nice ceremony, but pretty much just a gradumacation. Getting a big ol' medal was fun. Some day I'll find the cable for the camera and get pictures uploaded.
2. Perennial gardens - my poor garden is being completely neglected this year, but it still goes on looking lovely.
3. My herb garden - making up a menu for the week and the accompanying shopping list, it's so wonderful to skim past all the fresh herb requirements - "growing right outside the kitchen door...and this one...and this...." And weeding is simply a pleasure - so many wonderful scents!
4. Getting those herbs - a lot of things I like to grow are not hardy here in Cleveland, so today Ferrett and I walked to Gale's Greenhouse to complete the herb garden. It's a little over two miles each way, and it was very hot, but it was a wonderful way to get exercise and enjoy each other's company.
5. The new Lebanese restaurant less than a mile away - has all the rustic charm of a Quizno's. Because it used to be a Quizno's. But the food is yummy! Chicken Shwarma on pita with lots of garlic and tahini and veggies. Mmmmmm.....
6. Getting all my thank you notes out - phew! A relief!
7. Studying for the bar - yeah, it's a lot of work, but it's also exciting. This is it. The last test I will have to take for school.
