Mar. 4th, 2002 06:12 amHas it really been a week since I last entered anything here? I have hardly had time to sit down at the computer over the past seven days, and since Erin is home on spring break I doubt that I will have much time for it until almost April.
This week I must make a decsion about law schools. The two I can afford to attend have both accepted me, so I will be going to the better one, but I need to go in the evenings--I can't afford not to work fulltime because of health insurance and that silly little thing called a mortgage. Companies apparently expect you to pay your bills even while you're in school--what is up with that? Anyway, now I'm debating whether to start with a couple classes this summer, since going at night will be throwing my graduation date back some considerable time. It's daunting going in. I had this silly daydream about school actually being relatively easy, going fulltime and not working. No chance of that; I don't know what I was thinking.
Had a fun weekend--roleplayed Saturday and Sunday, Planescape and Lankhmar, and everyone stayed overnight Saturday night so we could stay up most of the night watching Farscape. We're getting Jeff caught up on the show because we're going to a convention this summer. There was a great deal of alcohol consumed and a good deal of cuddling on the couch. I briefly thought that something interesting was going to break out, but there was the limiting factor of a 15-year-old asleep in the basement and the other woman in the room possibly being a virgin--she wasn't rebuffing the arm around her shoulder, but she wasn't reciprocating much either. Ah, well, another time, perhaps.
And what do you do when you have a player who is so timid and lacking imagination that her character literally stood by and watched the other two PCs damned near get killed in a climactic battle scene? I was furious.
Ayway, time for work, off to the office. Hopefully it won't be a week before I'm back here.
