SCREAM!!!!!!
Mar. 19th, 2005 08:10 pm8+ hours of nonstop homework.
I can't do anymore today. I can't I can't I can't.
Class schedules for next fall and spring semesters have been released. I'm trying to plan for getting the last of my requirements, and enough credits. I want to tear my hair out. No one wants to teach late evening classes, so as a consequence everything I want/need to take is being given at the same time. That's really, really crappy. But I think I've gotten a workable schedule, assuming I can get into everything I need to get into.
If not, I'm boned.
I'm just ready for school to be over. Getting no rest during spring break didn't help. It was a good thing that I didn't have class last week, but that doesn't help me deal with the mental burnout.
I know. I'm whinging again....

Episode III, the trailer
Mar. 19th, 2005 08:20 pmWhen I got home from work yesterday, Ferrett said, "Let's go see Robots."
"Okay," I said, "but we have to see it at the Cinemark, not the theatre across the street?"
"Why?"
"Episode III trailer."
Those of you who've read me for a while know that I am a Star Wars fanatic, referring to the first set of movies as The Holy Trilogy. The prequels have been a huge disappointment thusfar, nearly subsuming my fandom. After Attack of the Clones, I was determined not to fall prey to hope again.
But, damn. That's one hell of a trailer.
Now, the last time around the AotC trailer looked good, too. The movie did not deliver. So I am trying to remain at least a little skeptical.
One thing is clear, though: even if he isn't going to deliver it, Lucas knows what we want to see. The trailer is dark, forboding. Anakin Skywalker is walking right into the Dark Side. He is doing Bad Things, whether he's justified them to himself or not. Jedi will die. And the mask will be donned.
It can't possibly redeem what has come before, but it just might stand on its own.
