The good news is that there is DSL in the house again. The bad news is that it can only be hooked up to one computer at a time. Ferrett is working on it, but for the meantime I am still left with very little access.

I'm watching TV in the evenings instead. This is a Bad Thing. But I am hanging out with Erin and yakking with her while something is playing in the background, so that is a Good Thing. Otherwise I would spend the time reading, which would be better.

One more week before school starts back up. I haven't succeeded in reading ahead after all. Bleah. Now running behind and must get to work.

I am, for all intents and purposes, without personal internet access for the next few days. You can learn all about our woes from the anguished howls of

theferret, whose very livelihood depends now upon a dial-up connection (omigawd, how did we survive back then?). And work is too crazy-busy for me to even be taking this much time to write. So until we are hooked up again, I am stranded.

I can deal with the chills and the shaking, but am afraid that people will remark on the wild eyes and the sweating. “I gotta have a fix, man!”

This is my hundredth entry, and my first one for the new year. I have delayed because it seemed so doubly momentous--how could I do it right? Well, a new icon, and a bit of silliness seems the best way to burst such silly self-absorption.
