Woke up this morning at 4am, and realized after about 20 minutes that I was not going back to sleep. Got to work instead.

As of now, 1pm, I have completed all the tasks I had assigned for myself today. I am going to go work out, take a break, and then spend some quality time with my flashcards, something I have not had time to do.

Why can I not remember how much better I function in the wee hours of the morning? I don't want to be one of those crazies who gets up before the chickens. But I am so much more efficient when I do. It's not just a matter of shifting around the hours; by 3pm my attention is seriously waning, and I feel trapped by the day. This way, I feel like I've gotten a lot done and I still have some time and energy to do more.

But I still hate a 4am alarm clock. Oy.
