In other weirdness...

The refrigerator seems to have experienced a spontaneous healing.
This is not a behavior you generally see in a major household appliance.
Before anyone assumes that it was something I did, let me just note that it is one of those sealed units where you can't vacuum off the coils. I did suck dust from beneath it, but the motor and fan have been running all along (I didn't unplug it because the air circulation helps to avoid mold). After I pushed it back in place, I noticed that the freezer unit seemed colder, so I chucked an icepack in there, just to see. Sure enough, it froze up.
Problem is, the refrigerator part does not seem to be getting very cold. I am not convinced that this isn't a last hurrah, but it amused me, so I thought I'd share.
If it lives, I'm gonna start advertising myself as an appliance faith healer.
