A little over half of the 80. So it's not like crazy-many.

I don't know, it looks like we have nearly identical taste until the recent offerings!

The only one I wanted to see that was nominated this year was Juno, and I downloaded that and loved it.

It was very good.

In the last four years we have started making an effort to see all the top movie nominees. It definitely keeps us up-to-date.

How on earth have you managed to miss Platoon? It's, granted in my opinion, one of the best 'Nam movies of all time, and I HIGHLY recommend it.

That said, I've seen so few of the others that I won't even bother doing this one. feel free to poke fun at me for missing so many. :)

Poke poke. ;-)

There are a couple of them on there that I am embarrassed not to have seen by now, being such a movie buff.

I think it's overrated, but still excellent.

I'm currently working my way through that list in order. If the winner isn't on Netflix, I watch a suitable substitute from the other nominees for that year.

I just finished Ziegfeld. I started at the beginning of the year. I'm hoping to be done not too long after next year's Oscars.

Great run in the middle, but definitely waning on this end of the deal. Did you lose interest in movies?

Too much else going on. Keep meaning to watch them on cable, but haven't made a big effort to do so (I *have* them either on tape or DVR; other things have just been a higher priority). Don't think I've seen a movie in the theater since LoTR.

Wow, I was impressed by the number I have seen, particularly considering we've more or less taken a break from movies over the past four years. Of the ones that you haven't seen that I have (which was Lawrence of Arabia and everything from Kramer v. Kramer down), I'd recommend Platoon and The Last Emperor next. DwWolves, Schindler's, English Patient, and American Beauty are all good enough for a decent watch, but I think there are better things to do with my time than ever see any of them again.
